Privacy Policy

Data privacy

Every user access to a page on our website and every download of a file will be registered by our service/host provider and stored in a protocol file. At least every seven (7) days, the personal data will be anonymised by truncation of the IP-address to the domain level and transmitted to us. The data will be processed exclusively for purposes of technical security, specifically to defend against attacks on our webserver, and in anonymised form for statistical purposes. A merger of this data with other data sources will not occur.

In the following, we would like to clarify for you what happens with the data collected and what security measures we have taken.

In particular, for each data Access the following data record will be stored:

  • Name of the file retrieved,
  • Date and time of the retrieval,
  • Data volume transmitted,
  • The page from which the data retrieval was initiated (Referer URL)
  • Our pages accessed by you
  • Access Status (File transmitted, file not found, etc.),
  • Web browser used and operating System used,
  • Name of the service provider,
  • Complete IP-address of the Computer issuing the request,
  • Report on whether the Access was successful.

Collection, processing and use of personal data - appropriate use

Our offering is intended solely for B2B customers or, in other words, corporations. The entry screen during the registration of a customer account checks whether the requesting party is really ordering on behalf of a corporation. If the requesting party is an end-consumer, the data provided will not be stored and/or will be immediately irretrievably deleted.

Personal data (Name, address, email address, telephone number, etc.), which you communicate to us (when ordering the newsletter, in connection with the processing of an order or a possible reclamation later or when opening a customer account) will be collected, processed and/or used solely for the purpose for which you have made it available to us.

This shall occur within the framework of the current statutory provisions and/or only with your consent as appropriate. Data for purposes of market research, consultation and/or advertising will only be collected, processed and/or used, when you have given us your prior consent thereto.

Your indications of consent, provided electronically, will be individually protocolled and stored. You can request the content of these permissions at any time. In this case, please address our officer responsible for data privacy at: info@fbf-bedandmore.de. In this connection, we would advise that you can revoke your consent at any time in the future electronically (info@fbf-bedandmore.de) or by post (Fränkische Bettwarenfabrik GmbH, Josef-Kühnl-Weg 1-5, D-91413 Neustadt a. d. Aisch, Germany). After receipt of your objection, we will no longer use or process the corresponding data for marketing purposes and will discontinue the mailing of advertising materials forthwith. Data essential for invoicing and accounting purposes and/or subject to statutory retention periods are unaffected by an objection.

We make use of your name, address, email address and telephone number for the execution of your order or for the processing of your request for information. As necessary during the processing of your request, we may transmit your personal data to the correct recipient within the Fränkische Bettwarenfabrik company. Such data will be deleted after expiry of the statutory retention period.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will collect and process your email address as well as any voluntarily supplied data (for example, salutation, christian name and surname) for our own advertising purposes. You are entitled, of course, to unsubscribe at any time in the future when you no longer wish to receive the newsletter. To this end, click on the "Unsubscribe"-link, which can be found at the end of every newsletter email.

Disclosure of your personal data to third parties, including excerpts will not normally occur unless a statutory provision prescribes this or you have granted your permission thereto.

SInsofar as we make use of service suppliers in the course of execution and implementation of processing operations, the relevant contractual arrangements are made in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). For the delivery of the goods, we make use of shipping agents who receive the name and address of our customer.

Your rights

You are entitled to be informed about stored personal data related to you and further to have incorrect data corrected, to have your data blocked and to have your data deleted. On request, we will be happy to make available to you our public procedure index in accordance with §4e German Federal Data Protection Act.

Email Advertising (with Newsletter subscription)

If you have registered to receive the newsletter for our product areas, your email address will be used for our advertising purposes for these product areas until such time as you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time at no cost to yourself except for the basic transmission costs charged by your service provider. If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter or our email advertising, klick on the link "Unsubscribe" at the end of all emails sent by the Fränkische Bettwarenfabrik company.

Links to other providers

Our website contains links – clearly recognisable – to the internet offerings of other companies. Through these links, our sole intention is to render possible access to thirdparty content in accordance with §8 German Telemedia Act. Inasfar as links to the websites of other companies are present, we have no influence on the content accessed by such links. Therefore, we can assume neither guarantee nor liability for the content. In all cases the company concerned or the website provider are responsible. At the time the links were established, the linked pages were checked for possible civil or criminal legal violations and identifiable infringement of rights. Illegal contents were not identified at the time of linking. Continual monitoring of the content of linked pages in the absence of concrete indications of a legal violation cannot, however, be reasonably entertained. In the case that legal violations become known to us, the links involved will be removed forthwith.

Security

Information that you send us unencrypted per email can possibly be read by third parties along the transmission path. Legally secure communication by email is therefore not guaranteed. We make use of filters against undesired advertising ("SPAM-Filter"), which can also incorrectly categorise normal emails as undesired advertising automatically and delete them. Emails containing malware ("Viruses") will also be automatically deleted.
If you wish to send us sensitive data, e.g. financial data, we recommend that you encryptthe data and, if possible, also sign it electronically in order to frustrate attempts to view and/or alter the data in transit. Alternatively, you can send the data by conventional post to us.

In order to protect the personal data of our customers, our staff and our suppliers against unauthorised access, damage, loss, deletion and/or manipulation, we have instituted technical and organisational measures. These are subject to continuous monitoring and adaptation to the state-of-the-art.
In order to guarantee the confidentiality of communications with us, we make use of socalled SSL (Secure Socket Layers) encryption.

Cookies

Our web pages make use of so-called cookies in various places. These are small text files which are stored on your computer by your browser. Cookies serve to make our web offering more secure and user-friendly (certain inputs can be stored such that you do not need to enter them repeatedly).
By means of cookies, an analysis is possible of how users make use of our website, which enables us to adapt content to correspond to customer needs. In addition, through cookies we have the possibility to measure the effectiveness of a particular display element and thus to position it, for example, depending upon thematic user interests.
We make use of two sorts of cookies: "session cookies" and "persistent cookies". Most of the cookies we use are session cookies. These are automatically deleted after your visit to our website. They are necessary for proper functioning of our webshop, specifically, for example, so that goods stay in the shopping cart.
During your visit to our website, data necessary for the proper functioning of our webshop is stored in persistent cookies on your computer. These will be deleted automatically when they reach their expiry date or when you delete them yourself before the period of validity expires. All persistent cookies generated by us expire within six (6) months.
Cookies cannot cause damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Most web browsers accept cookies automatically. As a matter ofprinciple, however, you have the possibility to change the settings in your browser, if you would rather not send the information. We would point out, however, that this may result in a loss of functionality of our web offering.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, text files stored on your computer which permit analysis of your use of our website. The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of the website will normally be transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Our website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". If you are within one of the member states of the European Union or another signatory to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, your IP-address will therefore be truncated prior to transmission. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP-address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and then truncated. Acting on our behalf, Google will use this information to prepare reports about website usage and to provide other services related to internet usage to the service provider hosting the website. The IP-address provided by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data by Google. You can inhibit the storage of cookies through a corresponding setting in your browser; we would point out, however, that if this is done, you may not be able to use the complete functionality of all functions available on this website. In addition, you can inhibit at any time the collection of the data generated by the cookie concerning your usage of the website (including your IP-address) for Google as well as the processing of this data by Google in the future by downloading the browser plugin available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=d e and installing it.

Use of Google +1

With the aid of the Google +1 button, you can publish information worldwide. By means of the Google +1 button, you and other users receive personalised content from Google and our partners. Google stores not only the information that you have given a +1 but also information about the page that you were viewing at the time you clicked on +1. Your +1 can be displayed as a note together with your profile name and photograph in Google services, such as, for example, in search results or in your Google profile, or in other places on websites and advertising on the Internet. Google stores information about your +1 activities in order to improve Google services to you and others. To be able to use the Google +1 button, you must have a public, globally visible Google profile, which must contain at least the name selected for the profile. This name will be used in all Google services. In some cases, this name can also replace another name that you used from your Google account for elements of content. The identity of your Google profile can be displayed to users who know your email address or are aware of other information identifying you.

Besides for the purposes mentioned above, information made available by you can be used in accordance with the current Google data privacy policy. Google may publish summarised statistics about the +1 activities of users and/or transmit same to users or partners such as publishers, advertisers or associated websites.
